Malware
I guess I've got something that prevents me from storing any files in my recycle bin when I delete them. They are hidden and I can't see anything in the bin.
I posted this before but I'd love some suggestion on a solution

if anyone else has this problem try this
Start > Run > "cmd" enter the following commands: attrib -r -s -h %systemdrive%\Recycler\desktop.ini del %systemdrive%\Recycler\desktop.ini Reboot Worked for me |
