Google Search by Number

Apparently you can now enter any tracking number into the Google search engine and it will take you to the tracking information page no matter what company it's through.

When google gives the answer to "Why?", we're surely near the end.

Who Links To You?

Some words, when followed by a colon, have special meanings to Google. One such word for Google is the link: operator. The query link:siteURL shows you pages that point to that URL. For example, link:www.google.com will show you pages that point to Google's home page. You cannot combine a link: search with a regular keyword search.

I applaud the innovative culture that Google fosters. My friend's sister works there and she loves it.

You know...I've actually used this before it was published...

Also try typing in weather and your zip code.

Type a value to convert like 1 pound

Type in an address

There's gotta be many more than this.

This has actually been a documented feature for a while. Heres a cache from feb 2004.
The Features page is a great place to learn about new documented search tricks. Also check out labs.google.com every once in a while for beta projects. Although, the stuff that shows up in the lab tends to show up on major geek news sites right away.

Using the google deskbar (its windows only) lets you do pretty much any google search trick right from the windows task bar. I love it especially for the calculator function because it allows me to do much more than the windows calc can and its just one click away, ummm, as opposed to two for the windows calc
