Winamp is NOISY!?!?
Today I found that winamp is suddenly playing with a lot of background noise. All I can remember doing recently is install the latest version of itunes and total recorder.
Could something be wrong with my codecs? what should I take a look at? |

Do you have another player on your system to see if it gives you noise?
What about your speaker/peripheral plug-ins? |

What was wierd was that video clips and other stuff would pay just fine. It was just audio files. So I figured it wasn't a hardware (i.e. plug, input) issue.
After fooling around around, I found out that Total Recorder was set up to install and use its own built-in codecs. I simply disabled those and I'm now golden. Just a heads-up for those who are using Total Recorder. Still, thanks for all the advice guys. Last edited by ArkiStan : 08-03-2005 at 08:39 AM. |
