i have all my photos in a folder, set to view in thumbnail mode, but the picture i see in the thumbnail, is different than the picture that pops up when i double click it. the file names are the same, but the image is different. some of the pictures are the same thumbnail/image viewer, but some of the files are different. is this something that can be fixed? thanks.

Never heard of that... sounds like maybe you have some file corruption or something going on??

Try this - create a new folder, preferably on a different drive, and COPY (don't move) all of your pics into it. If this odd behavior goes away in the new folder, delete the original folder & run a HD scan to see if it picks up any errors. After the scan you can move the pics back to the original location, but make sure you have a backup, just in case.
