Help with MS Word
Just recently I noticed something odd.
Before when I would highlight a word or sentence I'm working on and then type on it would instantly delete the highlighted portion and continue from that point whatever I am typing. Now... if I highlight a word or phrase and then type, it just adds the new keystrokes and doesn't delete the previously highlighted area. Only way to do it is to highlight, then press delete, and then type. It's one step more and not a big deal but it is a bit more of a hassle. Any way to fix this?

Tools->Options->Edit-> Check Typing Replaces Selection
This is for Word 2003 but I'm sure similar boxes exist on other versions as well.

sometimes the "Insert" key on the keyboard really messes up things... it erases whatever you are typing on already typed text... go figure
