programs to convert wmv to avi, ec...
Does anyone know of any good free programs for converting WMV files into AVI? Also, does anyone know of any good programs for extracting sound (music specifically) out of DVDs. I am fiddling around with making my own music videos by pasting video clips together and overlaying music... also had an idea of overlaying weird al songs over various music videos that I think will be quite amusing. TIA.

VirtualDub would probably be your first choice.
Google it, primarly used in video editing, and free. |

There are soooo many choices.
Go to http://www.videohelp.com. You can almost always find what you need there.
