how to record a song from a flash?

I want to record a song from a flash video that's online, so that i can turn it into a ringtone. Any ideas on how to do this? I could go the ghetto route of holding a microphone up to my speakers, but the quality is shoddy.

TIA!

I found couple of programs which do that. I didnt test them but they record whatever you hear from your PC. So just play the flash video and set it to record whatever u hear. The first one is totally free and I think it is pretty good and the other one's are trial versions.. Hope it helps!

I use Audacity myself -- a great freeware audio editor (it's actually surprising it's free with all that it can do.

If the choices above don't work, you can always use your default recorder (like Creative's Sound Recorder) and set your mic in the control panel to "What U Hear".

For my it's under Start - Programs - Accessories - Entertainment - Sound Recorder. I'm using Win XP. YMMV.

Then once you are in Sound Recorder, do the following:
1. Edit
2. Audio Properties
3. Volume button in the Sound recording box
4. Check Select box under "What U Hear"
5. Hit record in SoundRecorder
6. Play flash file
*note: you should see the waveforms in Sound Recorder. If not, there may be a volume adjustment needed.
