Question What free apps do you use?

I use Firefox, Thunderbird, OpenOffice 2.0, Evernote (though I'm trying SEO Note), NoteTab, iFTP, SEMagic, Trillian 3, Flickr Uploader, AudibleManager, and older versions of Winamp and MailWasher.

How about you?

/me waits for someone to say Windows XP.

Open Office, Filezilla, Cobian Backup, IZArc, Cam Studio, FastStone Image Viewer, IrfanView, Paint.net, Picasa, Spybot, Spyware Blaster, Foxit PDF Reader on the box I am posting this from.

Ubuntu and Puppy Linux OS for free operating systems.

It'd take me days to inventory all the other boxes I own or use regularly.

Free is good - I am a cheap bastid and freeware/open source fan extreme, as is well-documented in these forums.

The first two things I install on my systems (after the OS and perhaps antivirus software): Irfanview and NoteTab (Light). If I work on a system (such as at work) for long, these WILL be installed. I keep the installations on a USB drive, as well as have them on a CD (in case of older NT systems without USB support).

Other things that eventually get installed on systems I work on: Adaware, Spybot S&D, Startup Inspector. On systems I control: Firefox, Thunderbird, and probably a bunch of other things I can't think of right now, such as Sam Spade.
