I got rid of my ptsnoop.exe files to improve system performance, but now my Win98 boots really slowly. The first few lines of win.ini now look like:

NullPort=None

Wallpaper=C:\JOYSTICK\TUX.BMP
TileWallpaper=0

If I set load= and run= to 0, will that improve boot speed, or is there something else that I need to modify? I've tried some of the tricks listed by others on this site to no avail.
