nope.
not in this day and age of PC police, and the trigger-happy fingers superglued to the red panic button. BUT! you can start something stupid (and silly in its own right), and hide its silliness behind an overreaching nonsequiturian reasoning, give it some cloudy rigmarole of an explanation, and it wont be considered silly. in fact, it will be blindly defended because it is "reasonable". but follow it and endlessly beat it to a pulp with nothing but what it deserved, which is silliness as well as good fun, and its goodnight, sayonara, adios. You get a shut up and sit down and eat your pudding (or you wont have any meats). its just become a stale flat homogenous bland mix, thats what everything's turning out to be. its starting to look like a corporate office environment. some days nothing is fun anymore at places when youre supposed to just have fun. makes you wonder whats going on nowadays... in those cases i just go to another bar or club, and spend my money there, you know...

C'mon guys. You know silliness is allowed. Encouraged even.
But not at the expense of crapping on a noob's thread, no matter how (fill in your own adjective) it seems to be. We're really not here to paint all of the walls beige & turn the muzak up louder. But let's save the harassment for someone who's at least been here long enough to defend themselves. I realize that there was a huge blinking neon bullseye on that particular post, but it's still a newbie post and we really don't like to drive away the new members right away, if at all possible.
