Fedex sucks

I know, old news.

I made a purchase on ebay, and they sent Fedex with a required signature (I can't even sign the little slip & leave it at the door - someone has to sign in person). Fine. I miss the first delivery because no one was home. I call Fedex & ask them to hold the package, since their big local shipping facility happens to be right on my way home. The next morning, here's what I see on the status page:

Well crap, is it held for pickup, or is it on the truck? I call them up - "Oh, I'm sorry sir, it's on the truck. You can't pick it up today." Well, my wife is home most of the day today, so maybe I'll get lucky. I check throughout the day - no delivery, no delivery. Then it dawns on me that the idiot on the phone must have been wrong. By now it's 4:45 - I hop in my car & tear over to the facility, and get there (of course) about 5 minutes after they close. The guy at the desk can't even check on it since 'everyone has gone home by now'. I call the 800 number and they say, "Oh yes, it was held at the facility for you to pick it up." With my luck they'll probably put it back on the truck today & I still won't get it.

I need to get a Paypal confirmed address at work, so people can just ship stuff here. What a hassle.

The FedEX facility here stays open till 9:00 p.m. for hold pick ups.

Sounds like your location closes kinda early.

ship DHL, as long as you're nice to the person on the phon at your local office, we'll even stay late just for you. we're good like that

Each religion has got their own way of making you feel like a victim. The Christians say 'you are a sinner', and you better just zip up your trousers and give the money to the pope and we'll give you a room up in the hotel in the sky.

Those jerks at FedEx had an overnight to me addressed to my job, I went to pick it up because the label was messed up. They told me I couldn't pick it up because the address on my ID didn't match the shipping address. Then proceeded to ask me for a work id???!! Why would I have an ID like that?

Even the stupid supervisor was on board with this. So I went back to work and they delivered it to me in about an hour....the same dork I was arguing with at the FedEx site....I asked him about 20x did he need ID to deliver this to me, I might not be who I say I am....

was there enough packaging around the product, you'd be suprised the amount of stuff we get that get crushed even just in the van because its something the size of a cd in a computer box with nothing around it. if it was, file a loss claim
