Angry suckage now see 2nd posting !

my 20 page super heavy paper shredder broke .it works just will not turn off unless i unplug it. called the company they are replacing it(Shredcare). i dont know if i have to ship the old unit back or not. if they want the old unit back and want me to pay for it. then this is really going to blow as this unit is very heavy. they never said anything about returning the old one. but i did get tracking info that the replacement unit is on its way and will take 7 days to arrive from Calif.

anyone have any history of dealing with Shredcare on replacement of there products ?

it took me a hour to get to the tech support when i made my report .and only 2 mins with the lady. she was great only needed a min of info and said for me to email a copy of my sales slip and they ship a replacement.
i wonder if it be a new unit , just a head replacement ,or a refurb coming .i will say my unit has to weigh in at around 20 -30 pounds maybe more .she even said thats one heavy unit

Didn't the person you talked to tell you if the return shipping would be pre-paid or not? Sometimes, manufactuerers don't even require the return shipment of the broken product.


I'd call back and ask them if you are responsible for the return shipping.

Maybe prepaid return labels will accompany the new unit if they require the old unit back..

the replacement arrived today .the carton was crushed and taped.
the delivery person just left it on the front porch. Im sure the DHL driver was aware there maybe damage by the carton and loose Styrofoam. so he just drop it off and ran off no knock on the door. (chicken****) first off i tryed calling the shredder replacement company but from past calls it be a hour wait.(were cell phone mins suck ) so i email them .then called DHL but was informed the shipper has to make the claim. then i sent a second email off to the shedder company. it looks like just the bottom housing for the replacement shredder is broke . but im thinking i let it be there call as to what's next. so it maybe 2 more weeks before i see a replacement shredder
