i just payed $1300 for 2 cabinets 1 33x15 base and 1 33x12 upper 2 shelf.
i order these and brand to match the kitchen cabinets me and the wife bought and installed about 10 years ago. these are shaker style cabinet doors in cherry . man is sad how quality has gone out the window. the draw on the base inside is chipped on the shelf (not a major thing). the mounting hardware for the inner shelf is missing so have to call monday and order some. the upper cabinet is missing a chunk of wood around were the window panes are installed .they stained the doors and shipped it anyway. im looking at these cabinets and going i payed $1300 for a name not quality cabnets like they use to be. if i could of matched the door style and stain color with any other brand i been better off. the workmanship and assembly techique has really gone in the last 10 years. from the looks of things .they have gone from being 1st class to bottom as cabinet makers. word of advice to anyone looking to redo there kitchen or bath don't buy schrock cabinets .there over priced and lack quality matterals and workmanship. most cabinet company's add mounting supports on the top and bottom of cabinets even the upper economy brands have them. not found in schrock cabinets from the examples i just bought. there now made with partial board. i install cabinets for a living and for what i paid i get solid wood for less money. glad i didn't pay $3200.00 for the one pantry cabinet. i had priced from them for this same area were Im installing these. yes its hard to add cabinets when the old ones are 10-12 years old. but i had to pay the price to match the old ones.

When I expanded and modified my kitchen cabinets, I actually made the doors myself after buying cheap cabinets and discarding those doors. They weren't very complicated doors, but they came out very nice and they matched the other doors. I had one door made which housed six panels of glass and cost $80.
I would do it again in a heartbeat. |
