Suckage -Eye Glasses (LensCrafters)
i went to LensCrafters 4-30-08 just last Wednesday. I order 2 pairs of glasses. one pair silver frame gray trasition lens.the second pair brown frame brown trasition lens. what i got was the silver pair with gray transition lens what i order. the brown pair also came with gray transition lens.
i called back there friday and said i be back in today (Monday) to have the brown pair made the way i told the girl. i get back there to Lenscrafters and tell the girl whats going on. what im told is. 1st - that it cost me a extra $75 for them to give me brown lens. because brown transition lens are a premium tone. 2nd - they do not have them in stock and do not stock brown transitions lens and will have to be order. 3rd - im also informed that the lens i was sold are there own house brand.and that is part why they have to special order the brown lens because there store brand is not avail in brown .(i was not told this at the time of sale ) i keep asking for transitions by name. also there dr. wrote on the scrip transitions under lens. now im wondering what my next move will be. i know i have a legal case but is it worth the pain in the rear to follow up. also the first girl that help me on 4-30-08 was the asst.store mrg.

wow. that really sucks. sometimes you have to wonder whether these store people have any clue how to do business at all. I say, rather than trying to fix the situation get a refund by any means and stay the hell away from that store. Good luck.
Funny. I was just planning to buy a pair of sunglasses with transition lenses myself. However, it's a "ready to wear" model, so hopefully there won't be any chance of mix-ups. |

I have the transitions. My glasses cost me $540.00 and these transitions suck. They don't go dark enough and I got the darkest available. Had to go and spend an additional $500 for prescription sunglasses just to be able to drive comfortably.

If you r spending all that money on glasses, why not just get laser eye correction done?
If I had the money, I'd do it. I'm just hoping my optometrist can find me a comfy pair of contacts. The fools in Wal-Mart optometry just could not get it right!

laser eye correction is not a option for everyone. for my eyes they can't do the operation. i would of done it years ago. i also looked online and found out the company that owns Lenscrafters is Luxottica. Luxottica is the no 1 glasses and frames maker of all type glasses world wide. http://www.luxottica.com/english/index.html so what this means to me is im screwed ! |

Classaction Lawsuit in CA
Too bad you don't live in California. There is a class action lawsuit against Lenscrafters for their optometrists being influenced by sales quotas and breech of doctor patient privilege. My girlfriend received a notice to join and she gets either $40 cash or $70 lenscrafters certificate.
