Following up on my previous post about getting screwed by an ebayer, I kept fighting paypal. They kept saying that I had filed the claim too late, by 2 days. I've kept calling and sending emails. Today I got another mail that was not encouraging so I decided what the heck, I'm calling again.
Spoke to one rep who gave me the usual script about filing too late. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he started with the same stuff. I again explained my position and I could hear him typing something and heard him say ..uummm. He then said he was going to submit my claim for review to see if they would work with it again. He said that I would get an email within 24/48 hours with a decision. So I go about my business for a few minutes and go to check mail. I see paypal has sent me mail and I assume that since it has been such a short amount of time it was rejected.
"Our investigation has determined that the seller is at fault, and we have recovered your funds. Your account has been credited $355.00 USD. Please allow up to 5 days to see the adjustment on your account. This amount is the maximum we were able to recover." Checked my account and the money was there. I immediately transfered the money out.
WoooHooo, I fought city hall and won. I am so happy that I didn't knuckle under and just give up.
Now, anyone know where I can get a good deal on a Polk LSI C?
