NSS! Scott has a job!

Some of you may remember that a few weeks ago, Scott got his 2-week notice from his work that he had been at for just under a year. (Like seriously, he was out of the job 2 weeks before a year, so he was out the week's worth of paid sick/vacation days. grr. lol) Anyway, details here if you didn't see it the first time: http://www.gotapex.com/suckage-not-s...ek-notice.html (SS: Scott got a 2-week notice)

So fast forward to the day after I posted on GA. He & I had talked the day before about him emailing his old boss (from Wichita) and saying if he knew of anyone that wouldn't compete with them (ISP/web design) that were looking for a web designer, to let him know. Figured it couldn't hurt. The very next day, his old boss actually emailed him with a question about something he had worked on (a continuous project) while he was there. Scott emailed back answering the question and mentioning about being fired, etc etc.

Long(er) story short(er), Scott is now employed with that company again. Only this time, he is working from home. So not only are they sending him a Mac laptop to use, we don't have to spend thousands on moving away from the great place we are living now, but he is... getting a RAISE. He is going to be making $1/hr more than he was making the last year (where we paid our own health insurance) and $5/hr more than he was making when he left this job last year (and they are again going to pay for the whole family's health insurance, same as they did before). Couldn't have worked out any better! lol

We had to re-sign our lease since it is up Aug. 1st, and the deal with the job is that if it turns out not to work for either the company/boss or Scott, we can move back to Wichita and he can work there in the office.

So, things on the job front are looking much more positive than they were a few weeks ago!

Catching up after getting home from Utah (more about that later). Anyway, glad to hear that things worked out for Scott.
