renovation

i get a call from the wife today the well keeps running in the basement. i get home in a hurry and fine the well is running and lost its prime. i been working on it for like 2-3 hours now trying to get it to reprime if i dont in a little while i have to call in a pro. were on a old 2 inch well and all the beople around me have had there wells updated to a 5 or 6 inch so something tells me im going to have to drop about $5000 into having a new well drilled to.
