Hotmail is absolutely horrible.
I opened my first account two years ago during the summer. I thought, wow, free e-mail, what a service? And don't get me wrong, I figure you can't complain too much about something that is free. But when you come to depend on e-mail as a source of communication, in business, school, and as a means to talk with friends, interruptions in the service can be frustrating. So beginning about eight months ago I get this message: Server down. Sorry for the inconvenience. Blah, blah, blah... And this message comes and goes from then until now. Repeated attempts at customer service (15+ replies) have gotten me no sufficient answer. The past 3 replies I have pleaded with them to switch my e-mail account to another server. My other hotmail account, supposedly on a different server, has had no problem accessing mail. Finally I gave in today and e-mailed my contacts my new e-mail address: ironically another hotmail addy that has shown promise so far. Anyone have similar stories? More importantly, does anyone know how I can link my dud hotmail account to my new one? |

Hotmail is by far the worst free email service I have experienced. Try yahoo and that's what I'm using now.
