Now, I love Asus. They make a kick ass product. But when will they learn that their motherboard customers really don't need/want onboard sound? I just don't see the problem here. If they'd eliminate it, so many more boards would be sold. I know that I've personally not purchased a board b/c of it.

Its made for their OEM customers, companies that try to keep the cost down. Not everyone needs to have the best sound card.

besides, it's easy enough to disable...it doesn't really steal anything.
