Cool

Oh come on guys, the green sword of destiny looked kind of gay comparing to highlanders sword. What was so special about that movie, i must admit that there were some good fighting scenes, but the graphics sucked and it can not be compared to the matrix... so explain to me why it was so good? I just really want to know if there is maybe something that i missed.

The...graphics...sucked.

You see a movie or play a game?

Of course the effects weren't as good as the matrix, didn't quite have that budget!

But it was movies like CTHD that made the matrix even possible!

It's a love story! It's about Honor! It's about...flying...through trees....and stuff...um...

It was about time, about space, about strange people in the strangest place....uh, wait a second...

Hey, uh...why did we all like this movie again?

That's rather cute, Anyways one thing that i really liked in that movie was the cinematography, that was very cool. But pretty much everything else was below average i think, what really get's me though is that this movie is nominated for like 10 oscars... come on guys, that ain't right.
But this is just a discussion and i hope i am not stepping on anyone's tows

You gotta remember, all those film critics seem to love movies that are filled with symbolism, themes about human nature, and all that stuff.

I'm very superficial when it comes to movies. I just want to have fun and not worry about what the director was trying to say with his camera angles and use of colors, etc.

Leon,
Hey i'd have to disagree with you on what you said, i like to see what the director is trying to say, i mean that what makes Terantino, Stone, and Fincher, the great directors that they are. But here the plot was thin, the acting was sub-par, and pretty much everything else except for the cinematography was ehhh(technical term)

i dug the movie enough to make up for your lack of interest. who would even try to compare this to the matrix? why not compare star wars to space cowboys? um....duh (technical term)

Movie like CTHD will open the door for future films

It story wise, it definitly doesnt come close to other chinese films like : "Once upon a time in China". But picture wise. Best Kung Fu flick. The film was beauitiful!
