ARGH. I can't stand that. Why can't people in America understand what the passing lane is for?

Weirdest thing though. When you're driving an old, huge volvo stationwagon with a bent front license plate, they move out of your way much faster then when you're in a little MR2. Go figure.

A co-worker came up to complain about being tailgated the entire way in to work by an irate driver who was honking at him. He was utterly indignant that someone would dare to be pissed off at him for driving the speed limit in the fast lane...
I wish I'd been behind him. I don't honk. I'm just a small woman in a big SUV...

****, if i'm catching up to you going 15 mph faster than you, you better pull over to the slowlane or i am going to give you a dirty look. its just curtosy to get out of the way. if you don't, it's just rude.

imagine your walking down the sidewalk late for an appointment, so your walking fast. then imagine there is a guy right in front of you going at a casual pase, but you can't pass him because he keeps blocking you. you can't tell me you wouldn't tell the guy to knock it off and let you by now would you?

Ok ok ok I can understand most of your grips. Yes technically it is a passing lane but that doesnt mean, atleast where I live, that it is an excuse for speeding. You still must obey the speed limit. Also telling a cop that that you were in the fast lane and the person in front was impeding your progress usually only gets the response of "What fast lane?" Atleast thats my experience.

Sure, I know in other parts of the country, yer all law-abiding momo's that drive the speed limit to the tick and declare all your taxable income (yep, your ebay sales too).

But here in Cali, efficiency is of primary importance. You want to drive 60, move your ass into the right lane. Speeding is something in excess of 80 mph.

My gripe regards those idiots that are just out for a Sunday drive in the left lane at 65, and, furthermore, refuse to yield. While speeding is against the law, not yielding to faster traffic is both equally dangerous and equally illegal.

I think forward firing guns should be a requirement for all american built cars.

You really, really don't want to know. My cousins pray before they ride in a car I drive. My uncle holds on for dear life when I cruise along at 45 mph. My parents either yell into my ears or pretend to sleep. My brother bitches about how I'm ruining my car or his.
