Unhappy

Lets see... where to begin... Lost my girlfriend. Honest to god, I think she is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. Now that's not going to happen. So then my damn HD fails. And my new CD-ROM. Can't even get through to Kenwood's tech support to get any help. Then, tonight at work, my truck gets broken into. Window busted, stereo face gone, stereo all jacked up from prying, dash all jacked up from more prying. And to top it all off, my insurance company isn't going to pay a dime because my deductable is $500. Damnit.

**** man that sucks hardcore. I'm sure you cared more about that girl than you did your stereo, but it sounds like that was icing on the ****cake. I got my stereo ripped off a couple of years ago and it was wierd how violated I felt afterwards. They jacked up my dash trying to get my stereo as well. I remember staking out the cars where I had parked for a couple of weeks to try and catch those sum bitches who took it, but never did. You should get a new stereo as soon as you can afford it, that way you aren't reminded of the incident everytime you get into your tuneless car.
As far as the girl is concerned, that's a bit more difficult. I also broke up with a girl about 6 months ago who I was going out with for 5 years. To make a long story short, a couple of weeks after we broke up I started thinking about how she was the one for me and how badly I had effed up with her. She rebounded with some dude rather quickly, and as my hopes of getting back with her diminished, so did my good spirits. However as time has gone by, things have gotten better. Now that I have had a little time to think about things, I have started to realize how wrong my ex and I were for eachother. Don't get me wrong, I think she is a beautiful person still, however there were just some key issues that probably would have worked our relationship no matter how much in love we could have been in. We would have probably made a miserable married couple because of this, and would have probably gotten divorced. This is the pessimistic outlook, but probably the most honest one that I have come up with.
The great thing is, and I mean GREAT is that I met a new girl, one who I believe I would be much more compatible with. Of course I am probably rebounding myself, but the good thing is, it doesn't hurt as much when I think about my ex-girlfriend anymore. Someday, I'm hoping it won't hurt at all.
That's about all the help I can offer, even though it's not much. One movie I recommend for recently broken up guys in Swingers. There are some parts in that movie that felt really good to watch, since I had felt the same way at times. Check it out if you can.
Good luck to you brutha.

no matter how it is you can always think of how it could be worse, then you realize its not that bad.

There's a reason for everything . . . or so I've heard.
I really believe there is a lesson in most bad things that happen. Love pains? Don't love too hard. HD fails? Don't buy that brand. Truck broken into? Buy an alarm from now on. Bird chirping? Buy a BB gun. Of course you can come to your own conclusions, but you know what i mean.

But I totally agree, life sucks. It seems like it sucks more now than it ever did before. Just gotta keep moving. Like morrissey said 'there are brighter sides of life, and i should know because i've seen them (but not very often)'. At least you should know that you're not alone in your pain. That usually makes me feel a little better.
