I get to spend 12 hours in the computer lab tomorrow for a project that is due at midnight since I haven't started on it yet. Did the same thing last week too. I think I picked the wrong major.

If I'd ever finished one early, I probably would have keeled over from the shock.
Now I carry the same procrastination with me to work. Deadline at 5? Start the project at 4...

one of the major points of the forums is to whine and bitch and moan and have other people commiserate with you in the stupid situations that you put yourself into!

i'm just glad that i didn't find g|a? til after college, or else i never would have gotten any papers done.

guys, procrastination is wonderful. just think, you could start papers/projects early, but if you do that, then you just end up spending more time on them. i just graduated last dec, and by my senior year, i would start writing all my papers at like 1am the morning they were due. sure, i felt like $#!t the next day after being up all night, but i if i had started them earlier, they would have just expanded to fill up all the time i had until they were due. but if the paper's due at 10:20 am, and you start at 1, you can guarantee that you're going to spend no more than 9 hours on it. plus, it won't contaminate other days when you should be enjoying yourself.
just my opinion. good luck as everyone's getting ready for papers/projects. i know it's a b!tc# and i really don't miss it at all. just remember this: within a year of the time you graduate, you will discover that all the work had nothing to do with anything you'll do in the real world. so don't stress over it too much now....just enough to get the grade you want.

I had a job that I needed to write documents for. I had about 3 weeks for each document. With usualy 4 projects going on at a time. So 3 or 4 days per doc of real time. But the projects kept getting canceled.
So I stopped writing the documents and started posting on GA. If by the last day the project didn't get canceled, I would spend the entire day writing like a demon to finish the document. I only had to do it once. That was a lot of time saved. And I owe it all to procrastination.
