Ss: Ups

ughh, how many times have you waited for a package to come to your door while refreshing the tracking website to see where it is. The anticipation is horrable cause its almost never on time to my house. And ever passing car starts to sound like it could be them. Once they actually shipped my package all the way to the other side of the country. BRING ME MY TOYS!

LOL.

Tsk tsk. You need some patience man.

I hate waiting too. However, I've given up on calculating when my packages will arrive. I don't think I can ever trust their "schedule" either. It's a crime the way the bring up your hopes then dash them by never showing up.

BTW, haven't you already started a thread about this topic before?

And there was thanksgiving remember? And maybe UPS man decided to stop by for an ice cream cone on the way to your house. You DO want the UPS guy to have an ice cream cone right? Right? oh ok...

UPS has this really odd problem delivering things to my apartment, so now I either get things delivered to work (Jeff, the UPS man comes by once a day anyhow) or to my parents depending on what it is. UPS has had my sisters dvd player for two weeks now, and shes too much of sissy to call and figure out why it hasn't moved from Worcester.

If Fed Ex and UPS were to merge, would they call it Fed UP?

online package tracking is one of the worst innovations on the web.

when i have something coming, i sit there all day and hit refresh til i see it change.

i'm 24, and yet i behave like a kid on christmas when i order anything...

All I do is check to see that they have actually gotten my package from whatever company I ordered from, then I just wait. Three times now the tracking info wasn't updated until the day AFTER I received my packages. Too funny.

I am waiting for my Klipsch 5.1s to be delivered to me by Fedex. They deliver on Saturday til 8pm. Weird tracking.

Departed FedEx sort facility/LOS ANGELES CA 12/08/2001 05:29
Scanned at FedEx sort facility/LOS ANGELES CA 12/07/2001 23:53
Scanned at FedEx origin location/ANAHEIM CA 12/07/2001 19:49

Funny thing is, I live in Orange. So it started in Anaheim, then went away from me to LA, then left LA & 5:29 this morning. Hrmff.

don't even get me started on UPS. they are so obnoxious. they won't leave a package at my apartment w/out a signature (a good thing, because i TOTALLY don't trust my neighbors), but then you have to call them to have it redirected or held. and they'll only hold it for 5 days. one (of many) horror stories: i ordered a cd burner from CompGeeks. they sent it ups. ups of course tried to deliver it while i was gone. (until last week, i was traveling for work monday-thursday or monday-friday. if i got home on thursday, it wasn't bad because if i had asked them to hold it, i could go pick it up on friday). anyway, they made three delivery attempts, the last of which was on a thursday. however, that week, i didn't get in till late friday, so i couldn't pick it up. i thought i was in a bind, b/c they would only hold it until the next thursday. but then the next monday morning, i ended up with a later flight, so i went down to the distribution center before i left for the airport. i got there at about 8 am, and there were about 12 ups employees standing around. they informed me that they did not open until 9 am, and therefore could not help me and that i wasn't even supposed to be in the building before business hours, so i had best be moving along.
so i was already pissed at them. finally, on wednesday i decided that i was just going to have to call them and have them redirect it to my girlfriend, who lives on the opposite side of the state. they took my information and everything seemed well and good. they said it would be shipped the next day (thursday). so thursday i got home from the airport around midnight and there was a message on my answering machine at home telling me that my girlfriend's address was outside of the area that they were allowed to redeliver within (you would think the CSR i talked to should have known that). so they left their number (the local dist. center, not the 800 number) and said to call to work something out. so i went down the next morning, because i figured i could just pick it up. oh no. of course not. they had already shipped it back. it was in chicago when i came in to ask about it. never mind that i had tried to pick it up, but they weren't "open". never mind that i had called to give them an alternate delivery location. never mind that they had called me to ask me what to do with it since they couldn't deliver it to the requested address. the magic 5 day mark had passed, and i was screwed.
so the package went back to comp geeks, and i called them to get them to change the delivery address to my gf's house so i could avoid the whole fiasco. naturally, ups still screwed it up and managed to find one of the old address labels and tried to send it back to my apartment. i checked the tracking and figured out they were trying to deliver it to the wrong address, so i called comp geeks. they were very helpful and strong-armed ups in taking it across the state to my girlfriend's address. when it was finally delivered, it was a month to the day of when i first ordered it online.
so yeah, i pretty much hate ups.

Sounds about right. One time I was only able to get my package by having it redirected to a friend at work. I hate UPS. But I hate everybody, so that doesn't mean much...

Do you mean BBQ grill or that it fell off the truck and was smashed by an automobile grill?
