We'll just have to have a party of our own!

Instead of a party this year the company will be making a small contribution to the Sept. 11 fund for each of us. In other words they are going to give the find a couple of thou as a cop-out.

Yes, it sucks. But who cares, company parties suck anyway.

Heh . . . I'm looking forward to our company party. 4 hours of open bar at the China Club next week . . . a bunch of drunkassed Advertising folks.

The squadron party is the 14th. It's at the Boardwalk Casino. $14 for us to attend, $1 for each of the kids to off set the price for daycare and $24 for the hotel room.

Not that bad for a night out. I guess. I haven't worn heals since Feb when I stopped working so I will have to post a suckage about breaking an ankle on the 15th.

We're having a church Christmas party for the staff. (My hubby is the Sunday custodian there, mainly as a favor for his mom, but it's paid, so... ) Anyway, it's $6.00 each, childcare is free, etc. It's on December 20th. Which just happens to be...My 25th birthday!

I wouldn't mind a lack of a Christmas party so much, as long as the uppity-ups don't get a bonus. Tight money is tight money, but to reward the brass and not the grunts is not right.

In general, I mean...

our company is cancelling all our parties, and as a result saved 300 jobs nationwide. i thought it was a great idea. i mean, 300 jobs vs. one night of fun? besides, who knows, it might have been my job that got saved

My company canceled parties and canned people. But don't worry; the execs still get their bonuses. I need to get in on this exec scam thing...
