Nah, my mobo is fine. It was my alarm clock, that annoying device from hell which rips me from slumber.

Those will still ring at the appropriate times, even if the power goes out.

It has battery backup. I'm just too broke to buy a 9v.

Unhappy

I can now confirm: Power Outtages SS

Some drunk ran into the power pole last night, so what do I have to wake up to in the middle of the night? Darkness, no running water, and a loud generator 20' from my bedroom... bastid...

APC's don't really help if you have to brush your teeth in the dark and then go into the kitchen and scrape a bowl of leftover Spaghetti into a zip-lock bag...
