Angry S: Friend is dead, shot by cops.

Its been a trying year so far.
I haven't seen him in a couple years, but I knew him and his family since 8th grade.
My friend, who had a drug problem and was trying to get better. He got shot by 5 cops. He was a nice guy with some problems. There was statements saying he fled and shot at the police but there was no gun to be found. He's not the type to shoot at cops IMHO. His car was riddled with bullet holes.
He has 2 kids which makes it worse.
I'm not blaming anybody. I don't have all the facts. Don't know if we'll ever know what exactly happened. He's being cremated(?) so it must have been pretty bad.
I feel for his family and kids. What could have been. What should have...
It's like losing a brother. Once again i am numb.
God be with you and yours, cuz we're not promised tomorrow.

I'm sad for you.

Keep in mind though, that while it may not seem like him, that's kinda what drugs do - make you not you. If that is what happened, it wasn't really him doing those things.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully they will investigate the incident and I pray that it was justified. (I mean, I know that doesnt bring your friend back, but if it wasnt justified then its even worse because he died for no reason)

Thanks all.
Went to the funeral today. It was bittersweet seeing old friends and people I knew since jr. high. His brother and I talked and I'll try to be there.
The funeral was a nice tribute. They used so much make up, but I still recognized him. He had on a baseball cap. That was the 1st time I'd ever imagined, let alone seen a person wearing a baseball hat in his coffin.
It must have been very bad. 5 officers had mostly emptied their 9's into him and his car. Still no alleged gun found.
People make mistakes........

I'm not sure if i'm sad or mad. You're friend may have been in the wrong, but 5 officers unloading their weapons? That leans slightly towards EXCESSIVE. My condolences.

Chosen, the attempt to cover-up the deed against your cousin is just as foul. Now i'm steamed!
