I was recently looking to get cable TV in my apt. Heard about getconnected.com through some thread. They are basically a service that compares various wireless, internet, long distance, cable comp's in your area. So I check out their cable options... only hits were cox communications.

They posted some cable rates I was interested in... turns out their rates posted were like two years old, as I was told by a cox cable rep. I call getconnected.com to ask about their posted rate, and the dude tells me "obviously the price rates given to you by cox cable are correct." What the !@#^*&^%%!? their site is selling a service, but that service is whack!

seriously, that's pretty bad service. "hi, compare prices with us. of course, we won't even begin to guarantee that the prices are less than 2 years old or that the list of carriers is up to date. but come use our service anyway"

but you should check to see if any new providers have come to your area in the last 2 years. you might be able to get a good deal there
