S: Student suspended for not being a Sac Kings fan

On the news tonight:
Elementary school in Sacramento was having some sort of "Support the Kings(NBA team) Day" at their school. A boy shows up with a Kings t-shirt with their logo x'd out and Lakers written below it.
Principal sends him home to the dismay of the boy and classmates(dramatic yeah?).
What happened to the "PAL" in princi-pal? He said basically to, "Support our Kings or else

."
I should go up there and

that principal myself.
I thought as Americans we are allowed to support whatever team we want to.
Points to ponder:
a) Kings were up 3 to 2 games so he was supporting the underdog.
b) Does the school have a support the kings day every year or is it just this yr, now that they're in conference finals.
c) If this is the 1st year, is that school teaching students that they have to support their team but only when they're winning.
d) Isn't it pathetic that a grown man, the principal, tries to force his views reguarding an NBA team on a child.

Yes, it is pathetic.

They should send the Principal home for a couple weeks. Without pay.

jeez, that's horrible... wouldn't surprise me if it was the same school that expelled that kid because his mom was a stripper (incidentally, that school is about a mile from my parents' place).

i'd say the parents should file complaints against the principal. tho its likely the parents who did that to the shirt and sent him on his way to school. personally, i cant picture lil kids doing that..

...and incidentally, that same mom just did a photoshoot for playboy.com... not that I would know or anything...
