Angry Suckage: Having allergies AND getting sick

Man, as if it isn't bad enough I go to school in a town that is jam-packed with histamines, I got sick today on top of it. Gotta love it when your nose is stuffy, nose runs, eyes itch, head throbs, and you darn near cough up a lung all at the same time. Man I'm glad I am getting out of here soon . . .

My allergies tend to hit around mid May, but then subside after a month or so. I take Benadryl and it helps sometimes, but mostly just puts me to sleep.

The odd thing about my allergies is that I actually feel better when I am outside. I wake up every morning all congested and stuffy, but then I go outside and my nose clears up and eyes feel better. Don't know exactly why it's like this.

I am feeling quite a bit better today. Still coughing, but the sore throat has gone away. I have passed my sickness on to one on my roommates (don't worry, he deserves it).

I have been getting shots for about 6 years, too. They definitely help. I would be a mess if it weren't for them.. tight chest, heavy breathing, scratchy throat, and achy legs.
It is such a joy having an immune system that just barely performs. For the eyes, my allergist gave me a sample of Optivar opthalmic solution.. It seems to help with the dry, scratchy eyes.
I also get up around 5:00 AM and take Flonase spray for my nostrils.
These are both prescription items.

My allergies are at their worst for about the next four to five months. Eyes water, head hurts, the whole deal...gotta love the summer time.
