SS: people who dont use turn signals

i dont know if this has been posted before, but i dont care.

for the fourth time this week, ive been stuck behind some bafoon in a lexus or bimmer who wants to drive just a tad slower than i do, but wants to keep cutting me off while i try to switch lanes using my turn signal . its really annoying when you see a little window of oppertunity to pass the loser when they just kinda drift right in front of you like they own the freaking road just as your front bumper is by thier rear bumper. [/venting]

im a pretty easy going guy, and if some moron does this once, i dont even let it bother me. but if it happens for miles i really get ticked. the first of the 4 this week was on lake shore drive in chicago. anyone who has driven there knows that there isnt a whole lot of room and usually has a lot of cars on it. i can usually get through, but i had this lexus rx300 with some ignorant &!^(# on a phone just drifting into my lane not really looking where she was going. when i got to my destination about 5 miles later i was fuming. for people who know, it was on lake shore drive starting at balbo going north till about la salle. that about 3 miles

I don't really use then as often as i should. Specially if I am a few car lenghts from the next car. But its weird that I always use them when I am making a right or left turn onto another street. Weird.

its the law in a lot of places. i know people here in illiois whove gotten tickets for not using thier signals for chaning lanes. you practically have to do it right in front of a cop to get a ticket though

Sometimes you can't use turn signals... no sense in warning the bastards.

Yeah that's one of my reasons for not always using turn signals.
Just today, I was trying to merge into the left lane because there was an accident on my lane. I turn the signal and guess what? Everyone speeds up because they don't want me to get in front of them. So I speed up and cut someone off. Whatever. If people are going to a-holes then they are just going to have to put up with my crap.

Man, it really takes a lot of effort to flick the turn signal switch.. I am convinced that people who don't use turn signals get a certain amount of satisfaction watching the guy behind him lose it!
Just like in the inner city where I go to work( or use to ) when the guy in front of me slows down or the young kid crossing the street walks as slow as possible after the light has changed.

I thought of a bumper sticker:

"It's ok, Californians don't use their turn signals either."

That alone would bring shame to many Washingtonians.

Best of all that bumper sticker could be used in the DC area also. Although Californians might have to be changed to something else like West Virginians.

Yeah, I can understand why. Most of the California drivers I know "duck and cover" when they see a vehicle from Washington or Oregon. Of course, we don't see them for very long: they are usually doing 90+. I guess they are too busy with their cell phones to notice the speed limit signs.

Oh, and no, I've never had any bad experiences with Washington and Oregon drivers... can't you tell?
