NSS: Getting $800 in the mail unexpectedly
w00t!
Ok, so my hubby got a new job, right? He started this past Monday, so his last day working for the State of Kansas was the Friday before (18th, I think). We thought they paid a week behind. Turns out they pay 2 weeks behind. So the check he got today was for 9/29-10/13. That means in 2 weeks, we'll get a week of pay plus the 1-1 1/2 weeks of vacation time that they have to pay out. Yay! We are basically getting $800 that we hadn't counted on.

a place where i worked once was closing out their books at the end of the year and said i had failed to cash one of my paychecks. there is no way that wouldda happened. they insisted and printed me up another one. cool beans. took it and splurged
