SS: Car accident problems continues

Ugh...Had this car accident in June. They fixed and repaired the smashed up passenger side. When I got it back I noticed the window didn't roll up or down as fast as it should. After going back to the mechanic and talking to the insurance company they said they don't cover it because it's a worn out part and it's a coincidence.

How can it be coincidence when it was working fine before the accident and the day I get it back from the shop it suddenly becomes worn out?? The mechanin told me that the track inside the needs to be replaced which I think is because the accident jarred so it's misaligned. And if they gave me a used door, shouldn't it work the same as the pre-existing condition which was it can roll up and down???

Ugh...maybe this should be in the Auto forum too but how much is this BS going to cost?

If they replaced the door and it has a misaligned track then they should fix it. Problem is that if they didnt replace the door then you have to prove that it did work perfectly before the accident which is impossible.

Im afraid you will just have to suck it up. Insurance companies can be really stingy when it comes to shelling out cash, especially if you was at fault. Im lucky that when I had an accident last may that they fixed everything up, even went as far as to replace my chipped windshield that wasnt damaged by the accident. It may have something to do with it wasnt my fault and my impending settlement hehe

Hope everything works out.

Accident wasn't my fault at all. I'm dealing with the other guys insurance company. They didn't replace the door but fixed the dents and other damage to the front door. The back door was totally replaced. Argh.
