SS: Done working with kids...
Ok I have decided today that I am DONE working with kids for the time being...I don't have ANY luck and it SUCKS....
First at the YMCA with the work site closing.... Then at Turningpoint School...they ended up letting myself and another girl go because they want all their staff to have BA's or higher..which sucks..but hey that's life right? Then today was the last straw...A few weeks ago I interviewed for a position that would work great with me, for school, it's in the later afternoon and stuff, with the Santa Monica/Malibu School District, well I get a call back today from the lady that interviewed me that the panel was very impressed with me because of my age and professionalism and everything, and they want to offer me a position.... but there is a catch...I need to have either my Child Development Permit or 16 units in Child Development, which I have neither of... so there went that job... It really sucks...I just feel like crying...

go take those classes then pink. 16 units can be finished in one qtr. it's not that long. they just want credentials and certifications when you're working with kids. i can see why...so it's understandable. but yea...GOOD LUCK!!!!

Ok, so I've changed my mind. I am trying to find a job back working with kids. By the end of next week ( semester end ) I won't have 16 or anything, but I will have enough to work at a school prolly, I dunno, I just couldn't give up, it's not everyday that you find someone with a gift ( YES it's a GIFT to be able to work with kids ) that is able to work with kids and love every minute of it, so I am going to do what I need to I guess.

Yeah Pink! I love working with Kids. I'll be student teaching in Orange County next sememster. Those who have the gift of working with kids are in high need too bad School districts are not on that same note. If you want to teach or work with kids go for it!! The Kids need you.... even if Gray Davis takes their money away.
