SS: Finding our Civic in the garage minus one mirror

Sheesh. I get home in time to watch my son while my wife goes to work out. While she's out, my son is hungry so I decide to do something different and go to McDonalds for a Happy Meal so he can play in the playground. I get out to the garage and immediately notice that there are just a few wires sticking out the driver's side where the mirror used to be! The mirror was sitting on the floor inside the car. So I'm talking to my wife later and she doesn't mention it. I say, "Is there anything you want to tell me?" She looks puzzled and says, "no." Me "About the car???" "Oh yeah, sorry." Aaaggghhh. Turns out she was backing out of a friend's driveway and hit her freaking trash can, ripping the mirror completely off. She's getting a quote so we'll see how much it will cost. I've already paid our deductible for this year so it prob. won't cost me anything, other than higher premiums.

I'm glad I didn't go off on her. I can't really say much since the reason we already paid our deductible is that I drove the Civic into the garage with my $2,000 mountain bike on top, breaking the fork, damaging the roof and trim in the car, damaging the garage door, and breaking the bike rack. So, I'm not saying much. It still sucks though....

That just sounded funny.

Sorry about the car.

My sister called the other day and said, "Guess what?" Me, "What?" Her, "Mom hit my car!"

hahahahahaha

My sister was home from school for the weekend and was parked behind my mom (mom was in the garage, sis outside). My mom pushed the button to open the garage door, didn't look, and back right into my sister.

I had a girlfried "de-mirror" her car on her garage. Luckily for her, my dad works at a body shop and was able to get a used mirror for almost nothing. She didn't have power mirrors, so that saved some $ too. As it turned out, she shouldn't have bothered, she flipped and wrote off the car not too long after that.

Dang, I did that with my jogging stroller. We loaded the jeep for a trip, inside the garage, and we were and inch too high. The stroller was on the roof rack. Of course, I was the one driving when it hit. So hubby can blame me for breaking my stroller, even though HE was the one to load it.

Anyway, I'm glad it wasn't a more serious accident!
