Went to a Microsoft student thing tonight in Fort Collins, abou an hour drive from here... got a FREE copy of WinXP Pro, Visual Studio .NET academic, and some great info on .NET, like what it is, where it is going, and how to start using it.
Too bad everything is marked NOT FOR RESALE Oh well, I was about ready to buy the academic version of Visual Stuidio .NET anyway..

Yea, Microsoft had one of these at my school last year. Bill Gates himself came and gave a talk. Everyone got a bunch of free stuff including Windows XP Pro and Visual Studio .NET They also gave away an XBOX and a bunch of games for one lucky guy.
Funny thing was that the guy who won the XBOX was one of our professors. The guy must have been over 60...I wonder what he did with the XBOX  |
