Holidays + being a contractor = lost money
Aight, I'm a bit annoyed. The people here that are working on the 29th (just a skeleton crew of 3) get double time and a half, while I get jack because they gave me (and most everyone else) the day off. So, 20% of my check is gone that week.
I'll hate to see what'll happen around Xmas too - skeleton crews on the 24th and 26th, so that week it'll be 40% less pay for me. I am really, really getting tired of contracting.  -OC

I hear you, I just started as a temp. =/
I won't be making too much money to begin with, and I will also be missing a lot of days because they will shut down for all the hilodays. |
