s: not knowing whether or not i'm getting promoted
sheesh....i, along with 15 other people, interviewed for this open position almost 2 months ago. i still haven't found out if i'll get it or not. i have, by bugging the manager, found out that i've made the final cut of about 4 people. i'd sure like to know if i'm going to be making 25% more next year or not. plus company phone, travel, etc...
i already have a good job, but hey, more money is always better isn't it? plus, leaving me hanging for this long is ridiculous. my current boss came to me on monday asking if i'm going to be here or not because he's trying to plan for next year. i felt bad not being able to tell him one way or the other.

Don't be annoying about it, but make sure your boss knows you really want the position & you're willing to do whatever is necessary to get it. If they're stuck on making a decision, that may be all they need to lean one way or another.
There's nothing wrong with a 25% increase.... |
