Uber-suckage: Quizno's Subs
Threatening to sue *me* after I protested at their store because they gave me food poisoning and didn't respond to my complaint!

My roommate and I both got food poisoning from them. I was in crippling pain for about 24 hours. I wrote them a nasty email, and called the county health department. They (quizno's) sent back form mail saying "thank you for contacting us" 2 days later. I waited a week for a real response, and recieved none. Then I went and caused a scene at their store. I protested outside with signs, and now they are threatening a defamation suit. It has been about a month or so since I have heard anything from them, so it should all blow over. Still... not the way to handle a food poisoning complaint.
It should also be noted that it was not the Quizno's corperation that threatened me with the suit, but rather the local franchise owner. Last edited by dark helmet : 11-30-2002 at 03:22 AM. |

Not digging you or anything, but how do you know that it was Quizno's that gave you food poisening? Did you see a doctor about it?

Sorry it took so long to get back to this, but I changed my email address and it took awhile to clear.
Anyhow, it was the only common food my roommate and I ate that day, and we both got sick. We ate a late dinner at Quizno's and both woke up in crippling pain the next morning. |

Do they have any kind of a complaints number on their napkins or anything? Call the corporate headquarters and they'll probably be much more responsive.
