My moniter!
I'm so happy I have it back!!!! My friends dad was able to fix it. he had to replace a transistor and a resistor in the power supply... the strange thing is, he replaced the resistor with a fuse...

I'm no great electronic genius, but isn't a fuse a resistor by default? That's how it works. The resistance of the fuse is what melts it and breaks the connection when the is too much current.
He probably didn't have the correct resistor handy and just substituted a fuse with similar resistance. |

That sounds about right.. Doubt you have much to worry about in the lines of your monitor blowing up..
