OK, so Time Warner Cable has rolled out SVOD in my area and I just subscribed to it . . . it is FANTASTIC.

Here's the deal . . . you pay $6.95 a month, and you have unlimited on-demand access to the programming of any of the 4 major subscription channels you receive (HBO, Cinemax, Showtime & The Movie Channel). . . I don't subscribe to TMC, so I get on-demand access to the other 3 . . .

Anyway, the HBO one has the entire season of the Sopranos, a bunch of Curb Your Enthusiasms, Chris Rock, Sex & The City, a bunch of the specials they do, etc . . . along with a bunch of the movies they are showing that week. Cinemax has a bunch of the weekly movies . . . including the Cinemax after dark . . . which now does not necessarily have to be watched after dark . . . . . . and Showtime, well, same deal . . . you get the picture.

You also have VCR-like control (pause, ff, rr, etc.) . . . yes, I know you could get this all with a TIVO, but I don't have a phone line (just a cell phone) and the monthly subscription cost is higher, plus you have the outlay for the equipment.
