Suck: Metallica - St. Anger

I bought the new Metallica album at best buy for 9.99 (some kinda promo).

F*cking disappointment! I want my money back. If you like the sound of a teenage garage/metal band manifested in a bunch of washed up has-beens, this one's for you.

I didn't think it was a bad deal at the time because they also "give" you a DVD with all the music on it + footage of them playing each song.

James trys to sing so much better than what he's capable of and ends of sounding like a whiney little yatch. Kirk does back up vocals (laugh), the new guy just looks like a tard, and Lars suprisingly didn't sound too bad for someone who was stuffing cash into his drums the whole time. <shrug>

Here's the real kick in the crotch: Because of the campaign against piracy and copying, I can't even take this trash back and get my money back. I'm stuck with 2 $10 coasters. I've got no way of getting even. I'd share the crap outta this if I thought anyone wanted it.

I've had it. I'm pulling a Newstead and jumping ship. F_U metalli-sux.

This surprises you?? Even after all of the signs in the past? Metallica hasn't kicked out anything of good quality since "And justice for all" way back in 1988 and maybe you could count the black album from 1991 in there, but since then there's been nothing of substance or quality, just a bunch of re-mixes of old stuff and one or two new songs/movie soundtracks thrown in just to keep there name in the spotlight.
When they went after Napster, that showed they no longer cared about the music,They were all about selling out period. That was sign #1 that they only cared about the bottom line.....$$$$$, sign #2 was when Jason Newstead left the band claiming that is was for health reasons, yet he went right out and continued to play his style of music, and sign #3 was when they had the nerve to align themselves up with Lincoln Park and a bunch of other rap-rock teenie bopper bands for there summer tour.....

Yea Metalli-sux is close, But it's really Selloutica when you look at the big picture.

Why would this be a repost?? If i come here to rant about something, i would expect to come to the rant section and rant, not the sports and entertainment section.....It's pretty apparent that we all agree that this isn't entertainment at any level, Right?

IMHO opinion, their new bass player is much better than Newsted. Seeing as he's played for Sucidial Tendencies, Infectious Grooves and Ozzy (among others) I think he's one of the better bassist out there.

But he's got nothing on Cliff Burton

Don't get me wrong, it's hard and heavy. I think it's their heaviest thus far. But I also think it's their worst. (Yes, even worse than "Reload")

I don't know much about their bassist, but if you watch the Rehearsal DVD that's included, he looks like a choad with long hair. I'll try to get a screenshot up here...

Heavy? Well, maybe. But it's not a "clean" heavy. It's just a bunch of dirty riffs thrown together into a jumble that they call a song. When I heard that this was Metallica's "heaviest" album yet, I was a bit optimistic before I heard it. But this is just horrible.

FLAME AWAY!!!!

Our Hero...

This is the new guy and Lars dancing to an intro riff. You can't tell, but he's wiggling his free arm and his torso like a snake or some sort of male belly dancer. Lars is being his normal tool-self.

:

Something wrong about this...

The bass player is the guy from the Deftones, and talent wise he blows Newsted out of the water. BTW, I totally agree...this album sucks.

Nope

You are thinking of Chi Cheng, who is still in Deftones.
