depression sucks. Been thru that **** and seriously screwed my grades up (and my wallet to boot!) I shouldn't be talking though....since the last time I was depressed I ended up getting a dual xeon system (still missing my powersupply, lol)

I feel the same way. I feel like blowing some more money on a big screen tv and home theater setup that will only get me into more debt. Lucky for you, that you got that big check a while back.

Go to a good restaurant, enjoy and tip big. That might make you and the server both happy. Nothing better than cheering up someone else other than buying something that will make you feel empty again.

Well, if you are going to spend money, you might as well spend money on something that is worthwhile. Since you have been so depressed, why dont you spend some money and take a little vacation while your on your forced vacation. You can either do it via a road trip, whereby it only cost you gas or you can just go online and get one of those last minute air fare sales.

I dont know what kind of vacation floats your boat, but just go ahead and do it. Head off for a week. Clear your head. Just kick back and relax. Then when you get back, you can sit there and dive head first into solving the job issue.

Head to Cabo San Lucas (if you have a valid passport) or some other little mexican town where its cheap. Grab some friends, take a road trip and then rent sea kayaks to camping in Baja. Florida, Bahamahas, hawaii, etc. Take a cruise (if you book with a little time left you can get some pretty decent rates),

Just get out there and do it.

Forget my first advice, do what I just did, turn on some good cartoons like King of the Hill or Family Guy and get buzzed off of Guiness or Bass. I'm such a happy drunk that I'm having the time of my life right now. Ah yes, good beer. No drink can beat them.

well then. If you want to not be depressed, send me all your non-essential monies. Monies that you would use for computer parts, Audio, extras, "frills" send it all to me. I will even send you a reciept along with "someones" tax ID so you can write it off. Just think of the wonderful things that I will be about to do with your money... for as low as your entire paycheck you could help Me. So find it in your heart to help me, help you...

Eventually, young one, your time will come soon enough...

Drink the kool-aid, soon you will lie down, and sleep, sleep forever.....

First of all, why are you so depress??? I always try to look/think positively. Because, we all know that there are people in the world right now that do not know whether or not they what they will have a meal for their hungry kids or medicine for their sick elders, and so on and so on. I do not try to make any statement here, I just want to point out that, we, American, have so much compare to a whole sh*t load of other people. So just appreciated what you have and/or can have......worst come to worse....trun on the TV and watch
"Married with children".......IMHO....cheer up dude...

SELF PITY X ANGER = DEPRESSION

First, find out why you are feeling sorry for yourself, then deal with the resentment and eventual anger which always follows.
It works for me.
