I hate stupid tonsils!!!!
UGH I HATE THEM!!
I wish they would go away! For the second time in less then 2 months and have tonsilitis... This is getting annoying! Because I have to take the time off of work. And today my Dr. Informed me that the only reason they would take them out is if the infection was to happen like 4-5 times during the year... well, I'm on number 2....so we will just have to wait and see now...

I had mine taken out a year ago when I was 23. One of the best decisions I ever made
Before I had them taken out they were infected about 8 times in 5 months, lots of fun.Anyway, how often do you get tonsillitis normally? Many doctors will take them out if you snore also. It should really be your call, just be aware that the recovery time can be upwards of two weeks for an adult! |

hey Pinkgirl, sometimes tonsilitis that keeps recurring so frequently is a sign that you have mono. just a thought, but all you need is a simple blood test to find out.

Mrs. Kevster was having constant problems with sore throats, colds and other tonsilitis symptoms and she finally told me she never had her tonsils out. According to her doctor, they were some of the biggest ones she had ever seen was very surprised that she didn't get them out sooner. The surgeon who took care of her tonsils told me afterward that they definitely needed to come out and that there was a lot of scar tissue there from previous infections.
Since she had them out a few years ago she hasn't been ill at all and can breathe just fine (she had some problems previously). When in doubt, take 'em out!

yeah, well i've decided that if it happens 1 or 2 more times, I will just have them out, because it gets to be a pain to take off of work and everything....and the stupid medicine...BLAH!
You'd think with tonsilitis they would give you something EASIER to swallow...but NO.... |
