NSS: Discovering "Treasure"
I have been looking for a particular comic book for about a month right now, but cant seem to find it for a reasonable price. Everyone has been telling me that I should just wait to go to the Comic convention in SD this summer, but I really dont want to pay $20 to get in to buy one book which would have cost me $20 in the first place. On top of that I would end up buying other books, so it would cost me an arm and a leg.
Because of this, I have been searching fo many different stores, ebay, and some other tricks. So I remembered a company that has been around for a long time and decided to try their website. Sure enough, they have the book for $18. but after shipping it would be the same as buying it here. While I am on the site I decide to look for some other books, sure enough they have them and at good prices. Suddenly its looking like it may be worth buying from them, so long as its one fee for the entire shipment. So I get all the books and try to find out about the shipping, but its after their business hours. I figure, no big deal, I will wait till tomorrow to place the order. At this point I decide to check some of the books I have to see how much they are selling them for. Check one...its going for $1000. nice. Then I scroll down the page and I see Return of the Jedi:TPB...I click on it. Whoa....that book looks familiar. In fact, it wasnt even in my comic books, because I didnt consider it ot be valuable at all. So I run upstairs and grab it. I havent ever read it, its basically in perfect condition with some minor minor inperfections. (Stuff that would be expected with a book that age that has just been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for all this time!) The book, in its condition is worth $60+! They didnt even have it available since they couldnt find any in that condition. Some of the other books I have were worth a nice penny too, especially when i know I have a couple of copies of them in perfect condition bagged and boarded.

Nice! It's always great to find treasure like that, kinda gives you justification on being a pack rat!
