Thumbs down The Hulk is SUCK!!!!

Okay, Let it be known that I am in no way a Hulk guru.. so I might be off on a few things here ..

I must say The Hulk has to be one of the worst movies I have seen in .... I can't even rember.... I mean where in the hell did they dig up that stupid plot line. I never recall reading that plot line in any Hulk Comic I ever picked up .. I mean the basic characters were there.. I mean it had bruce, his girlfriend, the general, after that I barley recongnize the stupid thing. I mean how hard is it to Screw up (1)Banner gets angry, (2)hulk smash. (3)army chases, (4)hulk stops army, (5)runs away, (6)changes back to banner. (7) Banner tries to find cure. goto line 1

Throw in the occasional super villian, the change in the hulks personality every now and then (IE: Gray Hulk, Green Hulk, Smart Green hulk and so on .....) and you have a movie that is just plain fun. I am sorry I really do not need much of plot for the hulk. I know the hulk is the modern day frankenstein.. where he just wants to be left alone to be Big and green. BUT come on I need more than 20 minutes of Hulk angry, Hulk smash

So in parting Stupid plot, not so good actors, not enough HUlk =
BAD MOVIE

I really liked the movie. I suppose it could have used a little more of the "Hulk smash" stuff, but too much of that would have made it a pretty pointless movie. Making the "cool" scenes too long is overkill for me, like the Agent Smith scene in Matrix 2: Reloaded.

They just needed a way to give people some background on how Bruce Banner "inherited" his "mutated gene".

Sure, it would've been cool to see more of the Hulk in action. But as with any movie which is the first in a trilogy (or longer), they need to give the audience some background. Then you get to more action in the following sequels.

In any case, I think this is by far one of the better comic book movies I've seen in a while. Ang Lee did an amazing job with his directing. Overall, I was very impressed with the outcome of the whole movie.

I am a big comic book buff, but one thing I've learnt over the years about comic movies is that you always go in with an open mind and not expect anything.

Just go an enjoy the movie for what it is. It makes movies easier to watch and minimize the chances of becoming disappointed. I mean look at X-Men, they've strayed almost completely from the original storyline. It has, however, become two pretty good movies in their own right.

Hulk is the same. Don't expect it to be the comic book. This is now a movie and with any new character being introduced to the silver screen, it is important to establish the origins of the character and not just brush over it.

Overall, I give the movie a two thumbs up.

You know what I compare it to is sitting though the First Wives Club (wife made me go (MUST RESIST THE URGE TO KILL).... said I dragged her to enough "bad" movies that I had to go....) So Like a red headed step child I took my beating and cry like a little girl .....

Oh please... it wasn't as bad as First Wives....

Now you're really exaggerating.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Bill/Lou Hulk TV series. But I truly feel that the movie was better able to show what the Hulk looks like. Lou was good but he definitely could never grow to be 15' tall. Unless he lived in a world of Oommpaalooopahs.

Do not get me wrong I believe they were able to better portray the HULK as the massive Bruite we all have grown to love and adore over the years. I enjoy the parts were hulk smash. It was just getting to it that made it feel like an eternaty. I just beleive they went about the story all wrong. I think they should have stuck more to the orginal story line.
