Angry Ss/ss

SS#1
I bought some movies at the pr0n convention last friday. Well since we weren't really home, and didn't have time to check them out, the 4 of them sat in their boxes, waiting. So we finally get around to them a few days ago, and the first one we try won't be read by the DVD player (Sony Playstation2). Go on to do some testing, and 2 of the 4 DVD's won't work on my PS2 for whatever reasons. I don't have a DVD-* in my windows computer (the linux one has it, but I ain't watching nothing on a 14" screen). Great so I have 2 movies I can't watch

SS#2
The g/f and I are watching tv last night in the front room, and we start hearing pops in the tv. Not like explosions, but audio pops, like the stream from the cable box, or the providers is messed up. I figure it's just the one channel we are watching. Later on, we change the channel, and it start happening even more, especially during the commercials. Crap. She bought this tv about a year ago from BB but never turned in the warrenty stuff. Double Crap. I don't know what to do now. Stupid TV, making Monster Garage, and Trauma sounds like they are being shot at

Re: Ss/ss

Did you use the Costco AMEX when purchasing the TV as I mentioned. They double the warranty up to an additional year maybe two.

Might be a good time to upgrade to a BIG tv now. Porn look so much better > even the neighbors can watch.

Didn't go to Costco, she doesn't have an AMEX, and you never mentioned anything (you are thinking of someone else). I want to upgrade the tv (it's currently a JVC 32" ) to something nicer, but neither of our budgets can afford a tv in the slightest, so we may just end up bringing her old tv out from the bedroom, and hooking it up, but that's after the JVC dies, because I don't wanna be moving those heavy ass tv's around.

If you did buy it with a credit card, I know a lot of them double the warranty for you, so you might just want to check you card to see if it does offer that protection. I actually learned about this feature after I threw out a receiver that would have been covered had I known about this coverage. (I have a AT&T Universal Card)

As for the tv, JVC has a 2 Years Picture Tube, 1 Year Parts & Labor for the warranty. If you have the reciept, that is really all you need. The warranty paperwork manly acts as a back up.

And, yeah, where was the convention and why were we not notified??

Well, if they still sell that model, go buy a new one and return this one with that receipt. Not really scheming since you're just trying to get a functional unit that is still under warranty.

Not only unethical, but it wont work at most stores. When I worked at Good Guys, the serial numbers had to match what was on the box and the one that you were returning. The used to fire people if they failed to do this check. So you probably will get caught.

Yep, yep. Anymore, the register prompts for a SN scan. If the number doesn't match the recipt, no exchange.
