2 weeks of car suckage!

Last Week:
My first midterm is coming up, I wake up an hour before class as usual, get in my car and it refuses to turn on. I desperately get a jump start and go on my way when half a mile down the street it completely dies on me. I pushed it into a parking lot where i luckly found two taxis conveniently waiting. I grabbed one and rushed off to school.

This Week (well, aprx 4 hours ago):
I get a knock at my door and i see the security guy from my apartment complex. He asks me if i drive a black bmw and proceeds to tell me that someone smashed the passenger side window and stole my stereo. This was a $350 HU i bought 3 years ago and i doubt my insurrance is going to pay for it

on a slight not-so-suckage, when i went home for the weekend i took all my cd's out of my car and left them there. I'd much rather lose a stereo than 150+ CDs!

Needless to say i feel kinda unsafe here

damn man. that does suck.

i got my car broken into a couple weeks back....it's a complete pain.

the insurance should pay replacement costs for the head unit though, as long as you have some kind of proof of ownership (a receipt, a box, or the owners manual or whatever).

uck. That does suck. I'm actually scared to park my car in our parking garage at home, because I park under peoples balconys and people throw things off their balconys, like there was a monitor smashed to pieces barely an inch away from my car...
What would I have to do if something does happen to my car while it is parked there.
Now I see why people tell me not to keep originals of my CD's in my car...

And it majorly sucks not feeling safe where you live....

Unfortunately i don't have full coverage so i doubt they'd pay me.

I kinda expected something like this to happen. When i first moved here i was honestly surprised to come home and find everything in its place. Most of my neighbors seem like upstanding citizens but there are lower class people sprinkled throughout the community.

so are you out the money for replacing the window as well? if so, that really sucks (the window for my car was like $275....i hate to think what one for a BMW would set you back)

I think so!

I talked to my dad about moving. I currently live in a two bedroom apt and I only use one bedroom. I figure if they rent this place out i might be able to get a one bedroom in a better part of town. I really don't want to worry about what could happen everytime i'm out of town (which is quite often).

And the fun continues...

Well this is #3:
Today i was driving along. Came to an intersection and stopped cause it was yellow. This girl behind me was driving her new civic kinda fast, slammed her brake and bumped my car. Luckly nothing happened to my car but she kinda messed hers up. I took down her insurrance info anyway.

I hope this pattern doesn't continue. So far its been one car issue a week! In all the time i've been driving i havent had this much trouble.
