Hey guys, this post might not be in the right place, but I do think it may be helpful to everyone. Shall we make a list of those companies who are notorious for thier rebate services? I will give mine first.

1. Compusa. extremely slow.

Most of my rebate problems were related to them. One of the most recent one, the columbia recharger, was denied because it was purchased using my friend's card!

2. Columbia Telecomunications:

Their products are as junky as their rebates, like the 2.4Ghz cordless phone I had. Sometimes it rang and most time it just refused to. Read the terms and condition with extreme care before sending out your rebates.

3. Digital Research.

They seem to have great problems receiving mails. Both rebate of my roommate's and mine were "lost". Fortunately I saved a copy of everything but my poor roommate didn't.

4. Officemax. Just slow.

For those which I have had PLEASANT experiences with include Staples, Bestbuy, Microsoft and of course, the best of all, Riteaid.

compusa, officedepot, staples: so far so good for me.... the last 30+ rebates.

officemax: about 90% of the time i got the rebates.

d-link: sent it once but received the check in 6 weeks with part of the "bank #s" cut off !!! cannot deposit and the phone was always busy so i gave up after a week of calling. ($20 for webcam)

riteaid: this is the best !!! you just need to fill in the form online. didn't even cost me a stamp !!

Philips---forget them, they don't even send checks

Sony--very slow

BestBuy---excellent

PNY-----one of the best

RiteAid---Awesome

Staples--lately they are slow

Belkin---very good

Office Depot---fair

Toshiba----excellent

COMPUSA----not too bad
