Thought this would be relevant since a lot of people on this site are involved with alladvantage...

CEO Abandons Ship
Wednesday June 08.2000 12:03 PM EST

Jim Jorgenson President of the online company Alladvantage has abandoned ship and left the country. Reports that AllAdvantage lost approximately 6.3 million dollars US last month, compounded with the release of a new way to cheat the company [a program called SOA] are being blamed for Jorgenson's hasty retreat.

Users have complained about the constant downtime of the alladvantage website as well as numerous complaints about hours that have not been logged.

The CEO is reported to have said "I will die with the company if that is what it takes" however, he seems to be singing a different tune.

Numerous attempts to get in touch with the CEO resulted in manical laughter which was recorded on his answering machine.

The sanity of the CEO is also being questioned as he sees his company sinking into the depths of internet death, all because of a few kids that knew how to program.

The company is still operative, although it has reduced hours drastically because of a loss of advertisers as well as an enormous number of returned cheques because of fake accounts.

Jorgenson's last words before boarding his flight are reported to have been "Screw those damn kids, I hate them and SOA should be shot, stupid kids. Damn!"

It is believed that the company will fold within the next fiscal year and join the many fads that hit the internet [remember 'Tickle Me Elmos' didn't think so] Farewell Jim, and good luck.

i dunno, but mValue is on it's way there, cause i got an email that they lowered the maximum hours to 15 hours, but still at a rate of 50 cents an hour. But the minimum cash out is now 30 dollars....hehe....good thing i don't use it.

Red face

In keeping with the topic, Desktop Dollars absolutely SUCKS! I put in 40 hours using their viewbar and all I earned was a measly $3.56!!!!!! All these surf the web for $$$ sites really stink. Now that I have a full-time job, fresh out of college, I am abandoning all these stupid pay to surf sites.

Looks like all the Paid to Surf sites are getting hit with the (SOA) cheating program.

Yeah I thought the report sounded sort of "humorous", but most of the stuff in it may be legit...like I would believe that AA lost on the order of 6 million this month...of course, the quote from the ceo as he stepped on the plane is probably bogus...(and for that matter, the fact that he left the country).
